L’atelier si trova nel quartiere 5Vie, precisamente tra Via Santa Marta e Via San Maurilio, una di quelle zone storiche di Milano dove sopravvivono ancora le antiche botteghe artigiane. È qui che Cinzia, dal 2018, si muove alla ricerca di tessuti naturali di recupero, con cui rivestire borse uniche, una diversa dall’altra.
La creazione come processo naturale
La fusione di diversi materiali, colori e fantasie rende lo stile del marchio LaMilanesa assolutamente inedito. Tutto questo, però, non è altro che il risultato di un’ispirazione spontanea. “Quando guardo un oggetto – afferma Cinzia – la mia mente sta già pensando a come farne una borsa e io lascio che l’idea emerga da sola, senza forzature, perché ciò che disegno deve emozionare me in primis ”.
Il rispetto per l’ambiente: un valore fondamentale
Lavorare in maniera pulita e green per Cinzia è imprescindibile, per questo motivo non si limita ad utilizzare tessuti naturali, ma dona una nuova vita a tutti quei materiali che, se dispersi sarebbero molto inquinanti. Un esempio di questa filosofia sono le borse di iuta che all’interno hanno un rivestimento plastificato, realizzato con scarti di tappi di bottiglia. Una novità assoluta, invece, è rappresentata dal “gomao” un mix di plastica e cartone pressati, che insieme hanno un aspetto in tutto e per tutto identico a quello della pelle, ma con mille vantaggi in più: non si rovina, non si macchia e può essere lavorato in tantissimi modi diversi. Produrre in maniera sostenibile vuole dire rispettare le regole e curare il pianeta, cioè la casa di tutti.

Traendo spunto da una sua esperienza personale, Cinzia ha deciso di legare il destino del suo brand a quello dell’associazione FARE X BENE, diretta da Giusy Laganà, che da anni si batte per la difesa delle donne vittime di violenza. All’interno dell’atelier alcune donne maltrattate hanno la possibilità di reintegrarsi nel mondo lavorativo, apprendendo una una professione che permetta loro di essere indipendenti e di costruirsi una seconda vita. L’idea di rinascita che riguarda i materiali di recupero si applica, seppur in maniera totalmente diversa, anche alle persone, che sono il centro della mission del marchio LaMilanesa.
